Find businesses across a country, a few districts or an area you draw yourself. Choose where searches start and which territories to cover or leave out. Free through REST, MCP and the Python or TypeScript SDK.

Build the search around your market

• Search for your niche. Send a business query such as “dental implant clinic” or “commercial solar installer”. Your query is passed to Google Maps.
• Start with a region. Choose a country by name or ISO code, select an available administrative area by its readable name or discovery ID, or use custom boundaries for the territories you serve. Built-in country boundaries and city search points give you a starting plan.
• Draw your own territory. Supply GeoJSON polygons for a sales territory, a delivery area or a set of neighborhoods. A MultiPolygon lets you search separate areas in the same job.
• Leave areas out. Add interior rings, or holes, to a polygon to omit generated grid points in an area you’ve already covered or don’t serve.
• Choose the search points yourself. Replace the default city points with your own locations. Combine them with a grid, or send an empty seed list to use just the grid.

Put it to work

The tables show selected real records captured on 20 October 2026. Each preview uses a small boundary and one seed near the stated location, rather than the full territory described above. They are saved snapshots; contact details and reviews can change. Review, website and phone filters happen after retrieval, not as extra API search fields.

You control the search plan, within the published work limits. Google Maps determines which businesses it returns; complete coverage is not guaranteed. There are no dedicated fields for excluding chains or negative keywords.

See what comes back

Names, phone numbers, website URLs, addresses, Google place IDs, coordinates and review counts come back as structured records. Duplicate Google place IDs are consolidated; missing fields may be absent or null.

Read records in pages or download the formats you requested. MCP clients can retrieve both results and export chunks directly. JSON preserves structured records; CSV and Excel flatten nested fields into columns.

Retrieve up to 100,000 businesses per job. Follow each result page or stream a complete export, with resumable downloads if the connection drops. Request and download allowances still apply; read your remaining allowance and reset time in each response.

Choose an administrative area by name

Find states, provinces, districts and other available subdivisions through GET /api/v1/regions or the MCP discoverRegions tool. Start with a country to see its available levels, then search for an area such as “Bavaria, Germany” or “California, United States”. Names and administrative levels vary by country; the catalog tells you what is supported.

Use an exact returned area ID or a country, level and name. Ambiguous names return labeled choices instead of picking one for you. Cold boundary loads can take time: follow the retry delay, and check complete before treating an empty search as definitive. A global search covers only previously loaded subdivisions.

Administrative boundaries use geoBoundaries gbOpen under CC BY 4.0, with original source and license notices included in discovery and result metadata. Coverage depends on the provider’s available layers.

The controls, without the guesswork

What you’re searching for and its source country or structured administrative selection. Structured selections use an exact discovery ID, or country, level and name, and cannot be combined with custom geodata. A custom boundary does not override a country string’s filter.

geodata.boundary

A GeoJSON FeatureCollection containing Polygon or MultiPolygon geometry, including holes. Use WGS84 coordinates in longitude, latitude order.

geodata.seed_cities

A GeoJSON FeatureCollection of Point features. Omit it to keep default city points, or set features: [] to remove them.

cache.mode

resume reuses complete query results for 24 hours from completion. Choose refresh for new searches, or disabled to avoid reading or writing run data. Caches are isolated by account.

exports

Request JSON, CSV or XLSX files. Typed, paginated JSON results are available even if you don’t request an export.

Submit it. Follow it. Keep the results.

Jobs run asynchronously, so closing your client doesn’t cancel the work. Follow progress, list your jobs and return for the results. REST, MCP and SDKs share your jobs and allowances. If a job fails with partial results, those results are marked as incomplete.

There’s no subscription to start. Verify your email, then use an API key for REST or sign in from your MCP client. Work, request and download limits apply; regional availability and Terms of Use also apply.
